Qliner hotkeys is a keyboard productivity environment. It enables you to interact more efficiently with your computer. The five minutes you invest now, will pay for itself every day you use hotkeys.
This tutorial assumes you have qliner hotkeys installed and did not modify the default key layout.
Tutorial overview:
1. The basics
Hotkeys can be used to start and switch between applications, documents, links and more. Example:
- Press Windows + N to start Notepad.
Please note: if Notepad is already running it is brought to front. To make hotkeys start a new Notepad instance press Windows + Alt + N.
Please note: if multiple Notepad instances are running you are presented with a menu. Keeping holding the Windows key and tap the N key repeatedly to select an option.
2. Configuration
- Press Windows + Z to toggle the on screen keyboard on and off.
- Drag and drop the icons on the keyboard or drag new items on the keyboard:
3. Customization
- Press Windows + Z to toggle the on screen keyboard on and off.
- Right click a key to display
the Key Menu:
Use the Key Menu to create a hotkey or, change its properties. You can also cut, copy and paste hotkeys.
- Right click the keyboard
(make sure you do not click on a key!) to display the Keyboard Menu:

Use the Keyboard Menu to set keyboard options like color, layout, language and more.
